Privacy Policy — Cigarette Audit

Effective: 9 May 2026

This privacy policy describes how Cigarette Audit ("the app", "we") handles your information. We are committed to protecting your privacy. Cigarette Audit is designed to keep your data on your own device and in your own iCloud account — we do not collect, sell, or share any personal data.

1. Information We Collect

Cigarette Audit does not collect any personal information. The app does not require an account, does not ask for your name, email, or any identifying information, and does not include any analytics, advertising, or third-party tracking SDKs.

The data you enter into the app — including brand details, log entries, costs, daily limits, and your currency setting — is stored locally on your device.

2. iCloud Sync

If you are signed in to iCloud and have iCloud Drive enabled, Cigarette Audit uses Apple's CloudKit service to sync your data across your own Apple devices. Your data is stored in your private iCloud database. We do not have access to it. Apple handles the storage, encryption, and transfer of this data — please see Apple's privacy policy for further detail.

3. In-App Purchases

Cigarette Audit offers a free 7-day trial and a one-time purchase to unlock the app permanently. Purchases are processed by Apple's App Store and StoreKit. We do not see, store, or have access to your payment information. Apple may share aggregated, anonymised purchase data with us for accounting purposes.

4. Data We Do Not Collect

We do not collect or transmit usage analytics, crash reports, location data, contacts, photos, microphone or camera input, or any other data from your device.

5. Children

Cigarette Audit is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 18. The app is age-rated 17+ on the App Store. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.

6. Data Security

Because all data is stored locally on your device or in your private iCloud account, the security of your data depends on your device passcode, your iCloud password, and your iCloud account security settings. We recommend keeping your device and Apple ID secured at all times.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights regarding your personal data, including the right to access, correct, or delete it. Since all data is stored locally on your device or in your own iCloud account, you are in full control of your data at all times. To exercise any rights or raise concerns, please contact us using the details below.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
